The Council has recently been awarded the Member Development Charter Level 2, an award given to local authorities which show the highest standard in Member development and training. It has been awarded in recognition of the Council’s work to provide Councillors with the support, skills and training they need to drive forward the Councils regeneration plans in these challenging economic times.
Cllr Clare Pritchard, Deputy Leader and Chair of the Council’s Member Development Panel, received the award saying; “We are really pleased to receive this award as it means that we have better trained, more knowledgeable Councillors, who as a result are well equipped with the skills they need to be able to serve our communities more efficiently. Well done to our Member Services, Organisational Development and ICT teams who have all played a huge part gaining the Member Development Charter level 2.”
