Grotto boost for Mayor's Charity

Cabinet Member for Town Centres, Cllr Clare Pritchard, today presented over £276 in funds raised from Santa’s Grotto last Christmas to the Mayor's Charities.

Cllr Pritchard, who also helped Santa in the grotto during the festive season, said; “Santa’s grotto was a huge success, with lots of families visiting from Hyndburn and further afield.  It’s an added bonus that we were also able to raise £276 for local good causes as well.”

Mayor, Cllr John Broadley, receiving the cheque, said; “It’s good to know that money raised from such enjoyable events will go to benefit local people.”
