At this time of year we all generate extra waste with all the Christmas cards, wrapping paper, boxes and bottles and the like.
Cllr Paul Cox, Cabinet Member for Environmental Services said; Please recycle as much as you can over the festive season and remember that our improved recycling service means that you can now recycle all your waxed cartons and mixed plastics, batteries and textiles. Also to help you manage your extra waste, our Waste and Recycling teams will remove a further two sacks of non-recyclable waste on your first collection day of the New Year.
Looking to the New Year, don’t forget we’ll recycle your real tree for you and turn it into wood chippings, you don’t need to book a collection, just place your real tree with your recycling containers on your first recycling collection from 6th January.
