Concerns have been raised by Central Councillors regarding renovation work at Frederick Street.
Cllr Abdul Khan said, "I would like to bring attention to the recently completed refurbishment work on Frederick Street in Accrington as it is already deteriorating, it's not even six months after completion and the weeds are breaking through the Tarmac."
Local Councillors spent around £5000 of Area Council money on this project and are determined that this must show justification through the workmanship. It is also understood that a promise was made for digging out tree stumps from the same land where trees were cut from so that new grass can be laid down and enquiries are being made as to whether something can be done regarding this.
