Milnshaw: Presentation on proposed development at Hameldon Mill

On Wednesday 16th July, Milnshaw’s Labour Councillor, Paul Cox, attended a brief presentation put forward by a development company looking to transform a largely unused area of Laneside into a new housing development.

Cllr Cox said, "I thought it prudent to go along to this presentation because it both signifies a potential huge development with Milnshaw and will also affect many residents in the local area."

The proposed development is still at a very early stage, with possible adjustments still to be made. However the new developer, working with the sites current owners, arranged this presentation to allow members and officers the chance to see how the site can be delivered.

Paul Cox added, "I must thank the developers for allowing me the chance to have a look at this project, it’s just a shame that I was the only representative from Milnshaw at the meeting."

The new developers will now look to present a full planing application on the proposed site.
