The annual meeting of the Council to agree the budget for the forthcoming financial year will take place on Thursday 26th February at the Town Hall in Accrington.
Labour is the only party in Hyndburn that has written a full budget proposal and this has already been passed through the HBC scrutiny process at a meeting on 17th February, where certain counter-proposals were made by Independent and UKIP Councillors. No budget was proposed by the Conservative group for the fourth year running and the Leader of the opposition did not attend the discussion.
