A special event is currently being organised for June 2016 to take place in Oakhill Park to commemorate the Accrington Pals.
Event organiser, Anne Ellwood, said, "The event is being pulled together and aims to be a special day that celebrates
the Armed Forces, past and present. All residents are welcome so please come and join us. We are looking for supporters from being a event volunteer
to providing an activity or even wishing to perform on the stage. Every bit of help is needed, big or small so please spread the word!"
