Sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning on 22nd February 2015, an area used by homeless man Johnno was set fire to in a suspected arson attack which is now being investigated. What little he had was destroyed and a group of residents are looking to raise money to replace his belongings with new clothing and blankets and this will be coordinated through Hyndburn Helpers.
A target of £500 was set on a fundraising page at Gofundme.com but this was raised to £1,000 following a very swift public response and any money which is left over will go towards helping other homeless people. Graham Jones MP donated £50 to the cause and the page can be found here:
