Workers Memorial Day 2014

Saturday 26th April 2014 began in Altham with a short service for all workers who have lost their lives to commemorate Workers Memorial Day. 

The day is officially marked across the world on Monday 28th April but a short service held at the site of the tragedy of the Moorfield Pit Disaster and was attended by various Labour members, including Council Leader Miles Parkinson and MP for Hyndburn Graham Jones.
