Chris Davies, North West Member of the European Parliament, will be a keynote speaker along with officials from the European Parliament Outreach service, based in London.
Hyndburn has been chosen to host this European Parliament Outreach conference, on behalf of the North West region. Local Councillors, officers and political students will be among the large number of delegates from across Lancashire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester who are expected to attend.
The event will widen knowledge of the European Parliament and highlight how it serves the North West area of England. It will also demonstrate both how the EU and its decision making process works.
Leader of Hyndburn Borough Council, Councillor Miles Parkinson, said; “We are pleased to be chosen to host this event, which will help promote local democracy and partnership working.”
