Full Council - 26th February

The next meeting of Hyndburn Council will be held on Wednesday 26th February in the Council Chamber at Accrington Town Hall at 7pm. At this meeting the budget will be debated and the Council Tax will be set for the 2014/15 municipal year. This year there will be no increase in Hyndburn Council’s share of the Council Tax. More information is available on Hyndburn Council’s website:

6. Prudential Indicators and Treasury Management and Investment Strategy 2014/15 - 2016/17

To consider the attached report, which was considered by Cabinet on 5th February 2014 and referred to Council for approval.

7. Medium Term Financial Strategy 2014/15 – 2016/17

To consider the attached report, which was submitted to and approved by Cabinet on 5th February 2014.

8. General Revenue Budget, Council Tax Levels and Capital Programme 2014/15

To determine the general revenue fund and capital programme for 2014/15. To enable Council to make the required decisions, the following documents are submitted:-

a) Revenue Budget 2014/15

The proposals put forward by Cabinet on 5th February 2014 (report attached); the final proposals of the controlling group will be submitted at the meeting.

b) Capital Programme 2014/15

The proposals put forward by Cabinet on 5th February 2014 (report attached); the final proposals of the controlling group will be submitted at the meeting.

c) Comments and Recommendations of Overview and Scrutiny

The Resources Overview and Scrutiny Committee will meet on 18th February 2014 to consider the budget proposals for 2014/15. The Committee’s comments are set out in the attached report.
