Barnfield: Accrington Pals walk to Oakhill Park - 30th June 2016

As part of the Civic Arts Centre's Accrington Pals commemorative events in conjunction with Hyndburn Borough Council, walkers are reuqested to get involved with special walks to mark the occasion.

Gayle Knight of the Civic Arts Centre said, "On the 30th June we are organising an event in Oakhill Park at 7pm and we want groups to walk from each of the townships to converge on the park at the same time so obviously, walkers from Gt Harwood would set off at around 5.20pm but walkers from Oswaldtwistle wouldn't need to set off until 6.20pm."

She added, "We need volunteer walk leaders to get together the groups and to organise the meeting point and set off time. So, if you live in any of the towns of Hyndburn and you like walking please get in touch to be part of this memorable event."
