HBC: Your chance to comment on the Development Management Development Plan Document

The Council is producing a new planning document called the Development Management Development Plan Document (DM DPD). The Development Management Development Plan Document forms an important part of the new Local Plan for Hyndburn, and this is a formal opportunity to comment on a draft version of the document.

The Development Management Development Plan Document sets out the detailed planning policies to be used by Planning Officers and Members of Planning Committee in determining planning applications for the Borough. Once complete, the Development Management Development Plan Document will sit alongside the Core Strategy and Accrington Area Action Plan, parts of the Local Plan already adopted by the Council.

The Development Management Development Plan Document, together with supporting documentation, is available for comment for a period of 6 weeks up to Thursday 24th March 2016. All relevant documentation will be available to view on the Council’s website from Thursday 11th February at www.hyndburnbc.gov.uk/dmdpd. Hard copies will also be available to view at all libraries, and in the reception of the Council Offices at Scaitcliffe House, Ormerod Street, Accrington, BB5 0PF during normal working hours. A Comments Form will also be available at all these locations.

Please send comments by email to planning@hyndburnbc.gov.uk, or post to ‘Development Management Consultation,’ using the above address. All comments should be received no later than 5pm on Thursday 24th March 2016.

Comments will be made available for public inspection, and will therefore not be treated as confidential. After taking account of comments received, the next stage will be to produce the publication edition later in 2016
