Deputy Leader of Hyndburn Borough Council, Clare Pritchard, this week met with the Housing Minister, Mark Prisk, to highlight areas of concern regarding housing issues. Clare has been portfolio holder for Housing and Regeneration in the borough for several years and has met with various ministers to try and improve things within Hyndburn.
Cllr Pritchard said, "It was a very productive meeting in which I highlighted the need for authorities to receive specific housing funding and also highlighted ways that I believe the government could help local authorities have more tools at their disposal to deal with people who allow their buildings to fall into disrepair."
