It is vital we do well in Haslingden and your help is needed in these last few days to help our great candidates. Labour has a slim majority on Rossendale Council and we must make sure the Tories are kept out of power.
It is also vital we win in Hyndburn and do not return to the dark 13 years of a Tory council that inflicted damaging policies on the vulnerable people we stand to support.
Remember the severely disabled child and her family in floods of tears when they were given the keys to a new build (adapted) council house after a Labour council (through Hyndburn Homes) regained control after 13 long Tory years and began a social housing programme.
For 13 years the Tories denied that family help. Forced to live in a squalid, damp, run down private rented property that wasn't a home.
You can make sure that families like that are helped in these last few week. You can help protect vulnerable people by volunteering some of your time to the local Labour Party.
