The White Ribbon Launch will take place on Tuesday 25th November at 9.30am in Accrington Market Hall.
Cabinet Member Cllr Pam Barton said, "I am personally really excited about celebrating White Ribbon Day. The White Ribbon Campaign takes a unique approach. It encourages people to promote a change of attitude, using your voice to raise awareness and make a stand against gender-based violence."
Photographs taken on the day by HBC will form part of a social media campaign and will be tweeted for the following 16 days signalling our commitment and raising awareness of this campaign. Residents are encouraged to visit http://www.whiteribboncampaign.co.uk/makepledge and join thousands of people around the world making a commitment to play their part in standing up to condemn violence against women.
If you would like to discuss any of this further please do not hesitate to contact Cllr Barton on 01254 380989.
