An event is being advertised on Facebook for August 2016 on King Geroge's Playing Fields in Baxenden which has not been authorised by the Council and will not be granted permission. Advance tickets would already appear to be on sale and residents are urged not to buy them.
Cllr Ken Moss, Cabinet Member for Leisure said, “An event currently being advertised on Facebook, by Mega Value Fun Parks, featuring fairground rides running from 12th to 21st Aug 2016 on King Georges Playing Fields, has not been given permission by the Council and will not be taking place there. No permission has been sought and it would not be granted so close to the football season.”
