At the July 2015 Hyndburn Borough Council meeting, a resolution was passed to write to Lancashire County Council about the cuts to the Green Haworth bus service. Shown here is the response from the Cabinet member for Highways and Transportation, which unfortunately does not give much hope to restore this service.
The Leader of HBC, Cllr Miles Parkinson, will now be taking the next step which is to write to the Department of Transport to protect rural bus services.
The item will be put on the agenda for the next Council meeting on 17th September 2015 to report and debate progress.
