From 1st March, the Haworth Art Gallery in Baxenden is now open an extra day a week for people to come and view the collections and temporary exhibits on display. The gallery will open from 12.00pm until 4.45pm Tuesday to Friday and 12.00pm to 4.15pm Saturday and Sunday.
The Gallery Tea room is also open from Wednesday to Sunday for refreshments and afternoon teas.
Cabinet member for The Arts, Cllr Ken Moss, said, "Thanks to good management by the Council and its staff, we can now open the doors for an extra day a week at no extra cost. We have an increasing number of visitors to the Gallery, particularly coach parties, plus our artworks and collections are generating both national and international requests to be loaned out. It's well worth coming to see what's on display and have a bite to eat in the beautiful tea room."
