Please drive carefully in snowy conditions

A cold snap has brought a flurry of snow to East Lancashire and Hyndburn saw several inches of snow fall this morning which has led to slushy conditions on the roads and footpaths. Gritters have been out on the main roads but some side streets can be hazardous in colder weather.

Several accidents have already been witnessed across the borough and drivers are reminded to drive appropriately to the weather conditions.
