Clayton-le-Moors: Tony Webber welcomed by Bishop of Blackburn

Deputy Mayor Tim O'Kane was among the dignitaries welcoming Tony Webber to the benefice of Clayton-le-Moors and Altham at a service in All Saints Church conducted by Julian Henderson, the Bishop of Blackburn.

Speaking about the service, which was attended by several hundred, Cllr O'Kane said, "It was lovely to see so many people present and I can only echo the sentiments of our Catholic priest, Father Derek McCartney, when he said Clayton is unique in the area for recently having appointed two young members of the clergy simultaneously. "
