Oswaldtwistle Civic Theatre: A Day In The Life

Young people from the Civic Arts Centre and Theatre have created a very touching and funny play called “A Day In The Life.” The play follows the day to day life of a teenage girl named Chloe, who has an anaphylaxis strawberry allergy and her desire to live like any other teenager.

A Day In The Life has been created to help raise awareness for young people with Anaphylaxis. Anaphylaxis is a severe and potentially life threatening allergic reaction. This event will also help to raise money for The Anaphylaxis campaign a well-established charity which aims to support the sufferers and their families of anaphylactic reactions.

In the UK alone, over 150 million people suffer from severe allergies. In each year, 400 people die from having an allergic reaction. The newest battle young people face is not being administrated enough auto-injectors which provide life- saving medicine during an anaphylactic reaction. Allergies are very common for young people and we have a number of regular users here at the Civic Arts Centre and Theatre who suffer from anaphylaxis. Being young and trying to manage a severe allergy can be really hard work, we want to be able to help and support young allergy sufferers so they can just get on with life.

Please come and support this fantastic play - all tickets just £3!
