Great Harwood: New superintendent for local Methodist Churches

A new Superintendent Minister has been appointed to the Methodist Churches of Great Harwood, Rishton and Clayton-le-Moors, in a ceremony at Trinity Church on 29th August 2015.

Rev Geoff Hays and his wife, Kathy (who is a Deacon), have moved to Great Harwood from Guernsey and took over from the outgoing Rev Pat Brown who moved on earlier in the year in a service conducted by Rev Paul Davis, the Chair of Lancashire.

Rev Hays said, "We have been made so welcome and have been found the most beautiful manse to live in overlooking the views of Great Harwood. A special thanks must go to Steve and Ruth Colling of Rishton who have put up with all of us in their house during the move. I look forward to getting to know everyone in the area much better over the coming months."

The service was attended by Council representatives from Rishton, Clayton-le-Moors and Great Harwood as well as the Mayor of Hyndburn.
