Prospects will be hosting a talk on bees and the current problems that they are facing at an event on Wednesday 17th February at 6.30pm.
Event organiser Barbara Sharples said, "This talk is not
just for beekeepers, it will be of interest to everyone
interested in bees, wildlife, food growing, bees in decline, bees in
crisis and habitats for bees as pollinators. There will also be a Q&A session afterwards for anyone who still has unanswered questions!"
Cabinet member for Parks, Cllr Ken Moss, said, "Bees form an incredibly important part of our environment and their survival affects us far more than we sometimes realise. Prospects have done an awful lot locally to raise awareness and we even have a Council beehive. I would encourage more people to find out about bees and what can be done to help ther dwindling numbers."
The talk takes place at the Prospects Centre at 54 Broadway in Accrington. To book a place or for more information please call Barbara on 01254 230348 or email barbara.sharples@prospectsfoundation.org.uk
