Leaflets have been posted all over Rishton from a company called Lancashire Waste Disposal which many residents believe are in some way linked to a Concil service. This company and its leaflets are not officially endorsed by HBC or any authority and would appear to be instead from a salvage firm.
The firm is not registered with HBC for collection and requires a licence. The appropriate legal team is now investigating and action will be taken.
Residents must not leave items out on pavements or in back alleys for collection, this is illegal. Please ignore these leaflets as they are handing out bad advice to people and you may end up being prosecuted yourself for flytipping.
Residents are urged to pass this message on to their friends and families.
