Church: Former Mayor Jack Grime passes away

Former Mayor of Hyndburn, Jack Grime, passed away on 26th March 2015.

He was a Labour Councillor from 1974 to 1999 and represented the people of Church, becoming Mayor of Hyndburn for the municipal year 1984/85. Jack served as Chair of the former Housing Services Committee for many years and the title of Honorary Alderman was conferred on him in 2013. He was a local Methodist Preacher for many years.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday 7th April 2015 at Antley Methodist Church, Blackburn Road, Accrington at 10.30am.
