Labour Leader of Hyndburn Borough Council was asked a question from a member of the public at the meeting of the Council on 26th March 2015 about the development of green belt land across Hyndburn and the position of the Council.
Cllr Miles Parkinson answered, "I wish to make it quite clear that the Labour group wants to see new developments within the existing urban boundaries. We do not wish to see more greenfield sites go and are looking for regeneration of the numerous brownfield sites, not green belt land."
