Liz Kendall is the Labour representative for Leicester West and Shadow Minister for Care and Older People. She has recently sent out an email to Labour party members regarding voter registration, which changed earlier this year.
The Electoral Commission has warned that over seven million people who should have a vote are missing from the electoral register.
Earlier this year I made a pledge to get 1000 young people registered to vote.
There are now just 20 days to go before the deadline to register.
Your family and friends may still be without a vote, especially if they’ve just turned 18, moved house recently, or are living in university halls.
I’m asking you to join me for one last push to ensure everyone we know has a voice in May: take the #RegisterARelative pledge [http://labourfamily.org.uk/] and help register someone you know to vote. It couldn’t be easier.
If you have already helped register someone, thank you. Please now help spread the word on Facebook or Twitter, using #RegisterARelative.
With your help, we can stop the scandal of the missing millions.
Thank you in advance!
Liz Kendall
Labour candidate for Leicester West
