Residents of Lancaster Drive, Clayton Le Moors contacted Cllr Miles Parkinson and Cllr Chris Fisher, raising the issue of unsightly bushes in front of their properties which were rubbish traps. One resident stated they seen rats so the local Labour Councillors stepped in as Hyndburn Homes who unfortunately did not have a budget to remove the shrubs.
Miles said, "I secured funding to have the bushes removed and provide additional litter bins whilst also making sure LCC began a replacement programme of street lights on the estate along with other locations in Altham Ward."
