Cllr Joyce Plummer said, "I submitted a Grant application for £30,000 to LEF last year on behalf of Friends of Arden Hall to help create a play area extension for older children at the Coppice and the site has now been put forward for an Award. I was interviewed by the judges and, figures crossed, we will win!"
The project has had heavy involvement from Barnfield Councillor June Harrison and local resident Paddy Short.
